Welcome to RadsFans.net, the un-O'Fish-al website for the New Orleans Radiators. Please visit the band's official site at www.theradiators.org. As long-time fans of the band, we put together this site to let the world know about the best live rock n' roll band we've ever seen, and to give Rads Fans a place to express their dedication and appreciation for their favorite band.
The Radiators have been called a cross between Little Feat and the Grateful Dead with some Allman Brothers and Stevie Ray Vaughn stirred in. At a Radiators show it is not uncommon to hear blues, R&B, jazz, country, soul, Zydeco, swing, and even gospel filtering through their original New Orleans Rock N' Roll. The band calls it "fish head music", and we the fans call ourselves "fish heads". The Radiators were a jamband before Phish, Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, or Government Mule were even formed. Hardcore fans insist that the Radiators provide the best live show in all of rock & roll.
The Radiators have rehearsed and can play at any time their own unique cover versions of over 600 songs from artists as diverse as The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, CCR, The Band, Bob Dylan, Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Merle Haggard, and many, many more.
They also have performed over 600 original songs of their own. With over 1300 songs played in over 3700 live shows through their 26+ year history, you never know what you will hear at a RADS show, and the only thing you can count on is a different setlist at every single show. That, and getting blown away by an incredible night of swampy, bluesy, dance-yer-brains-out rock & roll!
